Resolve to Improve Your Outdoor Living Spaces in 2022

It’s New Year’s Eve and a lot of people are making resolutions to lose weight, get more exercise, eat better, spend more time with family – you know the drill. But for many people, keeping a New Year’s resolution can be difficult. It’s hard to find time for the gym, or your work schedule has you and the family eating a lot of takeout food. Why not resolve to improve your outdoor living spaces?
Did you know that by upgrading your outdoor living spaces, you can help keep these common resolutions, as well as spend more time outdoors? It’s true. By investing in your home, you’re investing in your health and your family’s enjoyment. Let’s take a look at some of your options and how they can help you keep your New Year’s resolutions.
An inground pool, especially a larger pool, helps you get more exercise. Whether you swim laps or do water aerobics when no one’s watching, you burn calories every time you get into the pool. And in the summertime, you get the kids off their devices, and into the pool.
This is especially true if you build fun accessories into your pool design, including a water slide, diving rock, etc. You can also get one of those pool volleyball nets to string across the pool for larger get-togethers.
And you can do outdoor exercise poolside as well. Set down a yoga mat or take your handheld weights out and do your exercise routine outside. If you have an enclosed outdoor shower, you can do a quick change and jump into the pool right after for a refreshing end to your session.

You’ll be amazed at how you increase your grilling options. And by adding an outdoor kitchen, you make prep and cleanup easy.
You might also want to consider doubling your recipe(s) so you have leftovers for the following day’s lunch or quick dinner between the kids’ sports practice and dance class. By eating healthy grilled leftovers, you eat healthier and save money on takeout.
By keeping your resolutions to exercise more and eat better, you’ll lose weight. It’s a win-win-win. And, of course, there are the added benefits of enjoying the outdoors and having a place to entertain in your new outdoor living spaces.
