Do you love Halloween? Us too. This may be the first “normal” Halloween for many families in Maryland and northern Virginia in a couple of years. So, we’re going all out. Decorations, costumes, Halloween parties with monstrous mocktails, and ghostly goodies.
We thought we’d share some of the recipes we want to try. They sound frightfully fun.
Halloween Mocktail Recipes
Mocktails allow anyone to imbibe – whether you have kids at your party or designated drivers, they deserve to have something fun to drink! Here are a few that caught our eye.
Tart Cherry Eyeball Punch with Lychees
Tastes great with a gross-out factor as a bonus. Kids will love this tart cherry eyeball punch, where the eyeballs are edible. Eww.
Off with Your Hand Halloween Punch
This recipe packs more of a punch if you let the kiddos serve up their own. The floating hand is made by filling a surgical glove with juice and then freezing it, creating the creepiest ice block you’ll ever see.

Ghostly Goodies Recipes
Now on to the food!
If you’ll have some adults with less of a sweet tooth looking for something to snack on, this mummy brie fits the bill. Creepy, cute, and cheesy. What’s not to love?
Witch Finger Cookies
Yes, really. Kids, teens, and adults will have to drum up some courage to bite into these witch-finger cookies. These take a little longer to make, so if you’re in a rush, save the recipe for another time.
In contrast to the last recipe, these vampire cookies are made with store-bought ingredients and are easy enough to make so the kiddos can help out.
This recipe for dirt pudding is actually pretty delicious. Have fun by adding gummy worms, skeleton hands, and other creepy accessories to accessorize.
