Super Bowl Food You Can Grill – And Never Miss a Play

Depending on whether your team made it into the big game, you may be more interested in the food, commercials, and halftime show for Super Bowl 2022. Or you may be a football fanatic who knows all the statistics of every player in the league, and you can’t wait for kickoff. But either way, a great Super Bowl party revolves around food.
First, let’s get the most important details out of the way before we start talking about food.
When is Super Bowl 2022?
Super Bowl LVI is Sunday, February 13.
What time is the Super Bowl?
The kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 pm, but pregame coverage will start long before that.
What channel is the Super Bowl on?
NBC. You can also stream the game via the NBC Sports App or fuboTV, or other streaming platforms where you have access to NBC programming.
Now Let’s Get Back to the Grilling Without Missing a Play
If you’re a Grill Master, why get all of that processed food that you take out of the freezer and throw in the oven? Try some new party food this year, and do it without ever missing a play. If you already have an outdoor kitchen equipped with an outdoor TV, you’ve already got it made.
If you don’t have an outdoor TV, it’s probably too late to try and get one installed before the big game. But you have options. You can stream the game on your phone or laptop, and you could also position a more portable TV by the patio door. We don’t recommend bringing your indoor TV outdoors, as weather conditions could easily damage it.
One other thing. The heat of the grill may keep you warm, but consider turning on your patio heater if anyone joins you outside. They will thank you.
Grilling Finger Food for the Super Bowl
We went looking for some tasty treats you can grill for your Super Bowl party and had to stop to get a snack because we started drooling.
Here are some of our favorites:
- Grilled Bacon-Wrapped Smoked Sausage Bites. Everything’s better with bacon. And sausage. It’s a protein powerhouse.
- Cheese Stuffed Sausage Bites. Cheesy, gooey goodness with the bite from Pepper Jack cheese.
- Big Game Burger Bar. Sliders with all the fixings and a lot of specialty burgers are listed here.
- Buffalo Chicken Wings with Creamy Blue Cheese and Apple Slaw. Classic grilled wings with slaw. Yum!
Of course, you can always make your traditional favorites, but we think it’s also fun to add something new to the mix.
